Hello from the canary islands
I'm looking at getting into trading because I've simply had enough of being a wage slave and working in a dead end job. I know a living can be made from forex as its been done by people before, which means it will be done again and I WILL be one of those people..... one day!
So a bit about me.... I moved to the canary islands 13 years ago and love the place but there's not a great deal of work that doesn't involve tourism. I started thinking about money exchange and how there must be a way to make money from buying currencies as their prices fluctuate which led me to finding FOREX.
I've been looking at as much info as I can find over the past few weeks and have a demo account open with FXCM. So far I've tried to find the elusive "Holy Grail" system using indicators which has ended with me loosing about a quarter of my account so far.
It occurred to me the other day that all these indicators are just showing what price has done in the past and are easy to use in hindsight but not much use to me during the present moment. I've since been looking at Price Action trading and made quite a few pips yesterday with the huge drop in EURUSD
No more will i look to indicators for guidance. I'll stick around here and learn some more I think. After all - Knowledge is power as they say.
Hope to meet some nice people on here I can learn from and maybe even help others to learn in return.
