This is my first post on the IT site. I'm posting this mostly as an exercise on my part to demonstrate my commitment to embarking on this new path. I am also an avid learner and would most definitely welcome any encouragement and or suggestions from you more established traders out there.
I am a Registered Nurse in a Trauma unit at Stanford University Medical Center. My schedule (night shift) affords me the time during the week to study trading and potentially trade during the week. I have been researching trading the Futures markets for a few years now and after sifting through all of the "magic" trading systems out there (that always sound so great) I came across this wonderful website offering so many free educational resources. I plan on using them all, and have just embarked on the Beginners Quest.
I am an extremely driven individual who loves learning new concepts and have applied this drive to everything I have wished to achieve thus far in life, and it has worked for me. I will approach this endeavor with same dedication and drive. I am not looking for a quick-fix, or easy automated trading methodology. I want to learn to be a successful trader from the ground up.
